Dyslipidemia in Renal Transplant Recipients

چکیده

Dyslipidemia is a frequent complication after kidney transplantation (KT) and an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD). Renal transplant recipients (RTRs) are considered at high, or very of CVD, which leading cause death in this patient group. Despite many factors post-transplant dyslipidemia, the immunosuppressive treatment has biggest influence on lipid profile. There no strict dyslipidemia guidelines RTRs, but ones proposing individual approach regarding CVD seem most suitable. Proper diet physical activity main general measures to manage should be introduced initially every KT. In case insufficient correction lipemia, statins basis hypolipidemic treatment. Statins with caution avoid serious side-effects (e.g., myopathy) drug-drug interactions, especially immunosuppressants. To lower incidence adverse effects, improve medication adherence, ezetimibe combination recommended. Fibrates bile sequestrants not recommended due their variable efficacy. However, several new lipid-lowering drugs like Proprotein convertase subtilisin/Kexin type9 (PCSK9) inhibitors may have promising effects further research assessing efficacy safety yet carried out.

PREGNANCY IN RENAL TRANSPLANT RECIPIENTS

ABSTRACT Background: Correction of the uremic state by a functioning allograft often restores fertility in women of reproductive age. The rate of fertility significantly differs between industrial countries, developing and middle east countries. On the other hand the results of pregnancy in Kidney Transplantation (KTP) patients are significantly better than hemodialysis patients, and pregnancy...

Dyslipidemia in Renal Transplant Recipients Treated With Cyclosporine A

Death with a functioning graft is the most common reason for renal transplant loss, and cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of mortality. Dyslipidemia is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease in the general population, and is common after renal transplantation. Despite the fact that the relationship between dyslipidemia and cardiovascular mortality has not been proven in transplant r...

Histopathologic evaluation of Verrucous skin lesions in renal transplant recipients

Background: Warts are common in renal allograft recipients (RAR) with reported incidence of 24% to 100%. These patients also demonstrate an accelerated malignant transformation of warts. Although in immunocompetent patients, the histology of common warts is quite predictable, this is not so in RAR. Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the histopathologic findings of warty lesion...
